Six Things You Should Know About Alimony

1.  It may take several months after you file a claim before you actually receive any money.

2. The opposing party may not pay each month as ordered.

3.  You may not get as much as you need to meet your expenses.

3. It may be reduced if the opposing party loses his/her job or becomes disabled.

4. It ends at the death of the person receiving it or the death of the person paying it.
